താന്‍ മാന്യന്‍; കുടുക്കിയതാണെന്ന് മണികണ്ഠന്‍

വനിതാ ഹോസ്റ്റലിനുമുന്നില്‍ താന്‍ നഗ്‌നതാ പ്രദര്‍ശനം നടത്തിയില്ലെന്ന് നടന്‍ മണികണ്ഠന്‍. താന്‍ സിനിമാ നടനാണെന്ന് മനസിലാക്കി ഒരു സംഘം ആളുകള്‍ തന്നെ കുടുക്കുകയായിരുന്നു എന്നും മണികണ്ഠന്‍ ആരോപിച്ചു. പെട്രോള്‍ തീര്‍ന്നതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് വനിതാ ഹോസ്റ്റലിനു സമീപം വഴിയരുകില്‍ കാര്‍ നിര്‍ത്തിയ തന്നെ നാട്ടുകാരും പൊലീസും ചേര്‍ന്ന് കള്ളക്കേസില്‍ കുടുക്കുകയായിരുന്നു എന്നാണ് മണികണ്ഠന്‍റെ വിശദീകരണം.

രാത്രി ഏഴരയോടെ ശ്രീകാര്യത്തു നിന്ന്‌ കഴക്കൂട്ടത്തേക്കു പോകുകയായിരുന്നു താന്‍. പെട്ടെന്ന് കാറിലെ പെട്രോള്‍ തീര്‍ന്നു. കാര്യവട്ടത്തുപോയി പെട്രോള്‍ വാങ്ങാനായി, കാറില്‍ നിന്നിറങ്ങി വഴിയരുകില്‍ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക്‌ കുപ്പി തിരഞ്ഞു. ഇതുകണ്ടുകൊണ്ടുവന്ന നാട്ടുകാര്‍ പിടികൂടി ചോദ്യം ചെയ്തു. ഞാന്‍ നഗ്നതാപ്രദര്‍ശനം നടത്തുകയായിരുന്നു എന്നാണ് അവര്‍ ആരോപിച്ചത്. നടനാണെന്ന് മനസിലായതോടെ നാട്ടുകാര്‍ക്ക് ആക്ഷേപിക്കാന്‍ ഉത്സാഹം കൂടി. പിന്നീട് പൊലീസ് എത്തി. അവര്‍ക്കും എന്നെ കുടുക്കാനായിരുന്നു താല്‍പ്പര്യം. ഞാന്‍ ഈ ഹോസ്റ്റലിന് മുന്നില്‍ ഏഴാമത്തെ തവണയാണ് ചെല്ലുന്നതെന്ന്‌ പൊലീസ്‌ കഥയുണ്ടാക്കുകയതാണ്- മണികണ്ഠന്‍ പറയുന്നു.

തിരുവനന്തപുരം കാര്യവട്ടം ക്യാംപസിലെ വനിതാ ഹോസ്റ്റലിനു സമീപം കഴിഞ്ഞ വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച നഗ്നതാപ്രദര്‍ശനം നടത്തിയെന്നാരോപിച്ചാണ് നാട്ടുകാര്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം മണികണ്ഠനെ പിടികൂടി പൊലീസില്‍ ഏല്‍പ്പിച്ചത്. പോലീസ് അറസ്റ്റു ചെയ്തു കേസെടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. ഹോസ്റ്റലിലെ പെണ്‍കുട്ടികള്‍ അറിയിച്ചത് അനുസരിച്ച് നാട്ടുകാരും ക്യാമ്പസിലെ സെക്യൂരിറ്റിക്കാരും ചേര്‍ന്ന് ഇയാളെ പിടികൂടുകയായിരുന്നു. നാട്ടുകാരും സെക്യൂരിറ്റിക്കാരും നന്നായി 'കൈകാര്യം' ചെയ്ത ശേഷമാണ് ഇയാളെ പൊലീസിന് കൈമാറിയത്. മുന്‍പ്‌ ഏഴുതവണ ഇത്തരത്തില്‍ നഗ്നതാ പ്രദര്‍ശനം നടത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന്‌ ഇയാള്‍ സമ്മതിച്ചതായി പോലീസ് പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

ഏഷ്യാനെറ്റില്‍ സം‌പ്രേക്ഷണം ചെയ്ത 'സന്‍‌മനസുള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് സമാധാനം' എന്ന സീരിയലിലെ 'കുര്യാക്കോസ്' എന്ന വൃദ്ധ കഥാപാത്രത്തെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചാണ് മണികണ്ഠന്‍ ശ്രദ്ധേയനായത്. പിന്നീട് 'യക്ഷിയും ഞാനും' ഉള്‍പ്പടെയുള്ള സിനിമകളിലും ഇയാള്‍ അഭിനയിച്ചു.

നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കുമില്ലേ ചേട്ടന്മാരേ അമ്മയും പെങ്ങമ്മാരും

മലയാളിക്ക് ഫെയ്‌സ്ബുക്ക് ഉപയോഗിക്കാന്‍ അറിയില്ലെന്നും ഫെയ്‌സ്ബുക്കിലൂടെ മലയാളികള്‍ മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ ജീവിതത്തിലെ പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ ആഘോഷിക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്നും അനന്യ കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തി. അതവര്‍ നന്നായി ആസ്വദിക്കുന്നു. ഇത്തരം പ്രചാരണങ്ങള്‍ സെന്‍സര്‍ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതാണ്. ക്ലബ് എഫ്.എമ്മില്‍ ഒരുപരിപാടിയില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്ത് സംസാരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു അനന്യ.

വിവാഹനിശ്ചയശേഷം അനന്യയും പ്രതിശ്രുതവരന്‍ ആഞ്ജനേയന്‍നും ഫെയ്‌സ്ബുക്കില്‍ ചര്‍ച്ചാവിഷയമായിരുന്നു. ഇവരുടെ പടങ്ങള്‍ വച്ച് പരിഹസിക്കുന്ന തരത്തിലുള്ള കമന്റുകളും മറ്റും ഫെയ്‌സ്ബുക്കില്‍ സ്ഥിരം കാഴ്ചയായിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് വരനെതിരെ അനന്യയുടെ അച്ഛന്‍ പരാതി നല്‍കിയെന്നും വാര്‍ത്തകളുണ്ടായി. അതും ഫെയ്‌സ്ബുക്ക് ആഘോഷിച്ചു. അനന്യ വീട്ടുതടങ്കലിലാണെന്നും നദിയെ സഹോദരന്‍ അടിച്ചെന്നും ഫെയ്‌സ്ബുക്ക് പ്രചാരണങ്ങളുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഇതിനോട് പ്രതികരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു അനന്യ.

ഫെയ്‌സ്ബുക്ക് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നവരോട് എന്താണ് പറയാനുള്ളതെന്ന് ചോദിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ അനന്യയുടെ മറുപടി ഇങ്ങനെയായിരുന്നു, 'നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കുമില്ലേ ചേട്ടന്മാരേ അമ്മയും പെങ്ങമ്മാരും..'. 'ഈ ഇഷ്യു ഉണ്ടാക്കിയതും വളര്‍ത്തിയതും സോഷ്യല്‍ നെറ്റ് വര്‍ക്ക് സൈറ്റുകളാണ്. ഫേസ്ബുക്ക്, യുട്യൂബ് തുടങ്ങിയവ. ഞാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു എന്ന രീതിയില്‍ വരുന്ന വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍ വ്യാജമാണ്'- അനന്യ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

ഫെയ്‌സ്ബുക്കിലൂടെ മറ്റൊരാളുടെ ജീവിതത്തിലെ പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങളില്‍ ഇടപെടാന്‍ എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും ഉത്സാഹമാണ്. ഇപ്പോള്‍ എന്റെ കാര്യത്തിലല്ല ഈ പറയുന്നത്. എന്റെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ ചിലപ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ പറയുന്നത് ശരിയാവാം, തെറ്റാവാം. അതല്ല ഇവിടെ പ്രശ്‌നം. മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ ഇങ്ങനെ ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യുമ്പോള്‍ അത് നിങ്ങളുടെ ജീവിതത്തിലാണ് സംഭവിച്ചതെങ്കില്‍ എന്ന് ഒരിക്കലെങ്കിലും ആലോചിക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.

'എനിക്കെതിരെ വരുന്ന വാര്‍ത്തകളും മറ്റും ഞാന്‍ കണ്ടു. പക്ഷേ, ഇതിനെതിരെയൊക്കെ പ്രതികരിക്കാന്‍ പോയാല്‍... ആയിരം കുടത്തിന്റെ വായ് മൂടിക്കെട്ടാം പക്ഷേ, ഒരാളുടെ വായ് മൂടിക്കെട്ടാനാവില്ല. ജീവിതത്തെ ഗൗരവപൂര്‍വ്വം സമീപിക്കുന്ന ഒരാള്‍ക്ക് എനിക്കെതിരെ എന്നല്ല, ഒരാള്‍ക്കെതിരെയും ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യാനാവില്ല. എല്ലാ വിവാദങ്ങള്‍ക്കും ഉത്തരം പറയേണ്ട കാര്യം എനിക്കില്ല. എന്റെ രക്ഷിതാക്കളും ഞങ്ങളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടവരും ഹാപ്പിയാണ്.

എന്റെ കേസ് മാത്രമല്ല പ്രശ്‌നം. ഓരോ സമയത്തും ഓരോ ഇഷ്യു ആണ്. സ്വന്തം പോസ്റ്റിനു കമന്റുകള്‍ കിട്ടാന്‍ വേണ്ടിയായിരിക്കണം ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നത്. മലയാളി മാത്രമാണ് ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഒരിക്കലും ഒരു വടക്കേ ഇന്ത്യക്കാരന്‍ ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യില്ല. ഇവിടെ സിനിമാ താരങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് എന്തെങ്കിലും സംഭവിച്ചാല്‍, അവര്‍ ആരുടെ കൂടെയെങ്കിലും പോയാല്‍, അവര്‍ക്കു വിലക്കു വന്നാല്‍ ഇതെല്ലാം ഇഷ്യൂസ് ആക്കുന്നത് മലയാളികളാണെന്നും അനന്യ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

'കുറച്ചുനാള്‍ മുമ്പുവരെ പൃഥ്വിരാജ് ആയിരുന്നു വിഷയം. ആരെ കല്യാണം കഴിക്കണം, എങ്ങനെ കല്യാണം കഴിക്കണം എന്നതൊക്കെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടമാണ്. ഞങ്ങളൊക്കെ പബ്ലിക് ഫിഗര്‍ ആണെങ്കിലും ഞങ്ങളുടെ ജീവിതത്തില്‍ കയറി എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും ഇടപെടാം എന്നു കരുതേണ്ട. എനിക്കു ജനങ്ങളോട് കമ്മിറ്റ്‌മെന്റ് ഉണ്ട്. തിരിച്ചും അതുപോലെ ഇല്ലേ? എന്തിനാണ് അവര്‍ എന്നോട് ഇങ്ങനെ പെരുമാറുന്നത്?- അനന്യ ചോദിക്കുകയാണ്.

എട്ടു വരെ തോല്‍ക്കുമെന്ന പേടി വേണ്ട

തിരുവനന്തപുരം: ഒന്നു മുതല്‍ എട്ടു വരെയുള്ള ക്ലാസുകളിലെ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളെ തോല്‍പ്പിക്കരുതെന്ന് പൊതുവിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വകുപ്പിന്റെ നിര്‍ദേശം. കേന്ദ്രസര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ അവകാശ നിയമം പാലിക്കുന്നതിനാണ് പൊതുവിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വകുപ്പ് ഈ ഉത്തരവ് ഇറക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.

സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ ഒന്‍പത്, പത്ത് ക്ലാസുകള്‍ ഇനി ഹയര്‍ സെക്കന്‍ഡറി സംവിധാനത്തിനു കീഴിലാക്കാനും തീരുമാനമായിരുന്നു. കേന്ദ്ര വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ നിയമപ്രകാരം അഞ്ചാം ക്ലാസ് എല്‍പിയിലും എട്ടാം ക്ലാസ് യുപിയിലും ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.

ഈ സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ ഒന്‍പത്, പത്ത് ക്ലാസുകള്‍ മാത്രമായി നിലനിര്‍ത്താനാവില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ട് ഒന്‍പത്, പത്ത് ക്ലാസുകളും 11, 12 ക്ലാസുകളും ചേരുന്ന സെക്കന്‍ഡറി സംവിധാനം നടപ്പിലാക്കാനാണ് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.

ഗോഡ്ഫാദര്‍മാരില്ല; അസിന് അടിതെറ്റുന്നു

മലയാളത്തിലൂടെ സിനിമയില്‍ അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ചുവെങ്കിലും അസിന്‍ തോട്ടുങ്കലിന് തുണയായത് തമിഴകമായിരുന്നു. അഭിനയസാധ്യതയുള്ള ഒട്ടേറെ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള്‍ തമിഴകത്തു നിന്ന് ഈ മലയാളി സുന്ദരിയെ തേടിയെത്തി.

ഗജനി എന്ന ചിത്രം അസിന്റെ ഭാഗ്യചിത്രമായിരുന്നു. ബോളിവുഡിലേയ്ക്ക് ചേക്കേറാനും നടിയ്ക്ക് തുണയായത് ഗജനി തന്നെ. ബി ടൗണില്‍ എത്തിപ്പെട്ടെങ്കിലും ഗോഡ്ഫാദര്‍മാരുടെ അഭാവം ഈ താരസുന്ദരിയ്ക്ക് വിനയാവുകയാണെന്നാണ് പുതിയ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്.

സിനിമയില്‍ നിന്ന് ഒരുപാട് പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ തനിയ്ക്ക് നേരിടേണ്ടി വന്നിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് അസിന്‍ സമ്മതിക്കുന്നു. ആദ്യമായി സിനിമയിലെത്തുമ്പോള്‍ ആരും സഹായിക്കാനുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. സ്വന്തം കഴിവു കൊണ്ടു മാത്രമാണ് പിടിച്ചു കയറിയത്. പലപ്പോഴും തനിച്ചായിരുന്നു. ഇപ്പോഴും തനിച്ചു തന്നെയാണെങ്കിലും സിനിമയില്‍ ചില സുഹൃത്തുക്കള്‍ ഉണ്ടെന്നും അസിന്‍ പറയുന്നു.

ബിടൗണില്‍ എത്തിപ്പെട്ടതോടെ തമിഴ്ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ അസിന്‍ പൂര്‍ണ്ണമായി ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു. അതോടെ തമിഴകത്തു നിന്ന് ഇപ്പോള്‍ അസിനെ തേടി സിനിമകളൊന്നും എത്തുന്നില്ല.

ഹിന്ദിയില്‍ ഹൗസ്ഫുള്‍ 2, ബോല്‍ ബച്ചന്‍ എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങളാണ് അസിന്റേതായി തീയേറ്ററുകളിലെത്താനിരിയ്ക്കുന്നത്. ഇവയിലെ അസിന്റെ പ്രകടനം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ടില്ലെങ്കില്‍ ബോളിവുഡിലെ നടിയുടെ നില പരുങ്ങലിലാവുമെന്നും റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുണ്ട്.

അസിന്‍ ഷംനയ്ക്ക് പാരയായപ്പോള്‍

അസിനെ പോലെയുണ്ടല്ലോ ഷംന കാസിം എന്ന ചോദ്യം കേള്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ പൂര്‍ണ്ണയ്ക്ക് പൂര്‍ണ്ണ സംതൃപ്തിയായിരുന്നു ഇതുവരെ. മാധ്യമങ്ങളൊക്കെ സ്ഥിരം ഈ സുഖിപ്പിക്കല്‍ ചോദ്യം ചോദിക്കുകയും...ആസ്വദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നത് ഇനി തുടരാനിടയില്ല.
തമിഴ് ചിത്രമായ വിതഗനില്‍ പാര്‍ത്ഥിപന്റെ നായികയായ് അഭിനയിക്കുന്ന പൂര്‍ണ്ണചിത്രീകരണത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായ് വിദേശത്തു ചെന്നപ്പോള്‍ അതിന്റെ പബ്‌ളിസിറ്റികൊണ്ടുപോയത് അസിനാണത്രേ.ചെക്ക് റിപ്പബ്‌ളിക് പാര്‍ലിമെന്റിനു മുന്നില്‍ വെച്ച് നടന്ന ഷൂട്ടിംഗ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്യാന്‍ ധാരാളം പ്രാദേശിക മാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍ ഒത്തുകൂടി.

വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്കുശേഷമാണ് അവിടെ വെച്ച് ചിത്രീകരണം നടക്കുന്നതെന്നതായിരുന്നു മാധ്യമങ്ങളുടെ പടയെത്തിച്ചേരാന്‍ കാരണമായത്. ചിത്രീകരണവും മാധ്യമങ്ങളുടെ തിരക്കുമൊക്കെ പൂര്‍ണ്ണശരിക്കും ആസ്വദിച്ചു. പിറ്റേന്നു പത്രങ്ങളില്‍ വന്ന വാര്‍ത്ത കണ്ടപ്പോള്‍ പൂര്‍ണ്ണ ശരിക്കും ഞെട്ടിപ്പോയത്രേ.
നടി Asin ചെക്ക് റിപ്പബ്‌ളിക്കില്‍ എന്ന തലക്കെട്ടോടെ ഇറങ്ങിയ പത്രം കണ്ടപ്പോഴാണ് രൂപസാദൃശ്യം വരുത്തിവെച്ചേക്കാവുന്ന ഇത്തരം പാരകളെക്കുറിച്ച് പൂര്‍ണ്ണയ്ക്കു ബോദ്ധ്യം വന്നത്. അസിനുമായുള്ള സാമ്യം പൂര്‍ണ്ണയ്ക്ക് കിട്ടേണ്ട അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര പ്രശസ്തിയെയാണ് ഇല്ലാതാക്കിയത്. നോക്കണേ ഒരോ പൊല്ലാപ്പ് വരുന്ന വഴി.

കൊച്ചിയില്‍ 10 മിനിട്ട് നടക്കാന്‍ കത്രീനയ്ക്ക് 1 കോടി

വാരിയെറിഞ്ഞു ബോളിവുഡ് താരങ്ങളെ കേരളത്തില്‍ എത്തിക്കുന്ന പരിപാടി വീണ്ടും. മാസങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മുമ്പാണ് ബോളിവുഡ് കിംഗ് ഖാന്‍ കൊച്ചിയിലെത്തിയത്. ഒരു സ്ഥാപനത്തിന്റെ ഉദ്ഘാടനത്തിനായി എത്തിയതായിരുന്നു ഖാന്‍. ഇപ്പോഴിതാ ബോളിവുഡ് ഹോട്ട് പ്രോപ്പര്‍ട്ടി കത്രീന കൈഫും കൊച്ചി സന്ദര്‍ശിക്കുന്നു. മാര്‍ച്ച് 25നാണ് കത്രീന കൊച്ചിയിലെത്തുക. അന്ന് നടക്കുന്ന ഫാഷന്‍ ഷോയില്‍ കത്രീനയുടെ റാമ്പ് വോക്കുമുണ്ടാവും.

പത്ത് മിനിറ്റ് ദൈര്‍ഘ്യം വരുന്ന റാമ്പ് വോക്കിന് കത്രീന ഒരു കോടി രൂപയാണ് പ്രതിഫലമായി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടതെന്നാണ് കേള്‍ക്കുന്നത്. ഇതേ വേദിയില്‍ റാമ്പ് വോക്കിനായി ക്ഷണിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഒരു പ്രാദേശിക നാലിലൊന്ന് പ്രതിഫലം പോലും നല്‍കുന്നില്ല. പുതുവത്സര രാത്രി ഒരു മണിക്കൂര്‍ ഡാന്‍സ് ചെയ്യാന്‍ കത്രീന രണ്ടു കോടിവരെ വാങ്ങാറുണ്ട്. കത്രീനയുടെ സാന്നിധ്യം ഫാഷന്‍ ഷോയ്ക്ക് കൂടുതല്‍ മൈലേജ് നല്‍കും എന്നതാണ് ഉയര്‍ന്ന പ്രതിഫലം നല്‍കി അവരെ കൊണ്ടുവരാന്‍ സംഘാടകരെ പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. കഴിഞ്ഞവര്‍ഷം കൊച്ചിഫാഷന്‍ ഷോ വന്‍ വിജയമായിരുന്നു.

Asif Ali and Sanusha to turn Idiots

After the success of 'Ordinary', Asif Ali will be soon seen in the new movie titled as 'Idiots'. Featuring Sanusha in the female lead, 'Idiots' will be directed by K S Baba, who had been a long time associate to Sangeeth Sivan. Interestingly the movie will be also scripted by Sangeeth Sivan. 
  
'Idiots' will also have Baburaj in an important role. Cinematographed by Pradeep Varma, debutante Nandhu will set the music to lyrics by Rafeeque Ahamed and Santhosh Varma. 'Idiots' will kick start its shoot by the second week of May at Ernakulam.

'ഞാന്‍ സിനിമാ മോഹം പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള്‍ സിനിമാനടിയാകാന്‍ സൗന്ദര്യം മാത്രം മതി. എന്നാല്‍ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ഉദ്യോസ്ഥയാവാന്‍ വിവരവും വേണം. സൗന്ദര്യം എപ്പോള്‍ വേണമെങ്കിലും നശിയ്ക്കാം. എന്നാല്‍ അറിവ് നശിയ്ക്കില്ലെന്നാണ് പപ്പ പറഞ്ഞതെന്ന്' ശ്രീലക്ഷ്മി ഓര്‍ക്കുന്നു. 

അപകടവാര്‍ത്തയറിഞ്ഞ് കലയും ശ്രീലക്ഷ്മിയും ജഗതി ശ്രീകുമാറിനെ കോഴിക്കോട് മിംസ് ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ പോയി കണ്ടിരുന്നു. നടന്‍ ജഗദീഷാണ് യാത്രയ്ക്ക് ആവശ്യമായ സൗകര്യങ്ങള്‍ ചെയ്തുകൊടുത്തത്. കലയും ശ്രീലക്ഷ്മിയും ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ ചെല്ലുമ്പോള്‍ ജഗതിയുടെ ഭാര്യ ശോഭയും മകന്‍ രാജ്കുമാറും മകള്‍ പാര്‍വതിയും മറ്റ് ബന്ധുക്കളും സിനിമാക്കാര്‍ അടക്കമുള്ള സുഹൃത്തുക്കളും അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. 'രാത്രി പത്തരയായതിനാല്‍ വെന്റിലേറ്റര്‍ മുറിയില്‍ കയറി കാണാന്‍ ഡോക്ടര്‍മാര്‍ അനുവദിച്ചില്ല. പിന്നീട് പാര്‍വതി ഡോക്ടര്‍മാരോട് സംസാരിച്ച് അനുവാദം വാങ്ങിത്തരികയായിരുന്നു' കല വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു.

Mammootty (born Pannaparambil Muhammad Kutty on September 7, 1953 [1]) is an award winning Indian film actor and producer. During a career spanning more than quarter of a century, he has acted in more than 300 films as the lead actor in Malayalam movies, a distinction he shares with Prem Nazir.[2] Mammootty is considered by many critics to be one of the finest actors in Indian cinema who excels in both art and commercial films.[3]
Mammootty received many major awards for his performance. These include three National awards, four State awards and eight Filmfare Awards in the best actor category. He is the only actor apart from Kamal Haasan to win National Film Award for Best Actor three times. In 1998, the Government of India honored him with Padma Shri for his outstanding contributions to Indian cinema and the University of Kerala honored him by giving honorary Doctorate in 2008.

King & Commissioner : Review

It is difficult to make a successful sequel because if the original is a hit, then expectations from the sequel will be too high. That's partly the problem with The King And The Commissioner. Director Shaji Kailas and writer Renji Panicker have brought together two successful characters from earlier and different films to make this new film.

Story :

Movie starts with the murder of a scientist in New Delhi, Central government appoints IAS officer  & Police Commissioner to investigate the murder case. Story progresses with their investigation.

Good:
Mammootty – with his punch dialogues & style did it again.
Suresh Gopi – Always excellent in police uniform and did it with ease & excellence
Direction – good
Dialogues – Excellent
Stunts – Excellent but its can be avoided in some situations.

Bad :
Story isn’t performed as expected.
Film is dragging in some parts, especially without Mammootty or Suresh gopi in the scene.
Without dialogues and action scenes, there is nothing in the story.
Verdict :
It is a watchable film even if it doesn’t meet the expectations of normal viewers. For a Mamootty/Suresh gopi fan everything is there expect a much powerful story to handle the two super hit characters of the 90’s

Jose Prakash passes away

Malayalam actor Jose Prakash passed away on Saturday at a private hospital here on Saturday. He was 86.  

During his singing career he had done small roles and cameos for films.
